NON-DISCRIMINATION POLICY

 

LUPUS AND ALLIED DISEASES ASSOCIATION, INC.

 

WHEREAS, LUPUS AND ALLIED DISEASES ASSOCIATION, INC. recognizes that treating all persons with respect and dignity is one of its fundamental core values, and acknowledges people, their values as well as their strength in diversity, and participation in all of the organizations activities and functions involving volunteers, staff, and community institutions.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT LUPUS AND ALLIED DISEASES ASSOCIATION, INC. 

will not tolerate any discrimination concerning race, color, religion, age, marital and/or familial status, national origin, ancestry, gender, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, lawful source of income, military status, mental disability or physical disability such as blindness or deafness, in respect to provisions of services, employment, or social engagement of the organizations volunteers.

 

With respect to the volunteer’s employment practices and engagement, any agency is prohibited from willful discrimination of such practices by denying a qualified candidate to a job, whether the said job is with remuneration or for volunteering purposes, for reasons based on predetermined group characteristics (see above).

 

The foregoing resolution is hereby considered valid and effective June 30, 2020
